LEARNing arose out of the work of the the LEARN (Learning in Agriculture Research Network) Group, a primarily European network of researchers with an interest in rural change. It is an interdisciplinary project based on interactive approaches and stakeholders' participation, and aims to build a research agenda which addresses the pressing problems in rural Europe today.
LEARNing has a website hosted by INRA.
Two reports based on the LEARNing events in May and December have been produced and are available on-line.
There is also a leaflet (pdf, 161K) describing the project.
The LEARN Group has published a book called Cow up a Tree: Knowing and Learning for Change in Agriculture, Case studies from Industrialised Countries.

The chapters might provide some background to our recent work in this area, act as a resource to trigger your thinking on what 'learning' means to you or invite your consideration of the problematique that faces farmers and rural people, and how this can be seen in terms of organisational learning.
You can order the book from the INRA On-line Catalogue.
